To give you an idea of what happens before the camera is
turned on , we’ve summarised the commissioning process below. Feel free to
ask us if you need any additional information.
Whether you are only beginning to think about a video
project or already know exactly what you want, you will wish to invite
suggestions from our directors/producers about how to achieve an effective
and striking video fit for your target audience. This is done in the initial
briefing meeting for which we do not charge. We will answer your questions,
tell you what’s possible with the budget you have in mind and get the
information that we need to present you with a quote. The initial meeting
also give you an opportunity to pick our brains and assess our experience
and skills !
Once the initial quote has been accepted, a short project
brief will be prepared by you – this includes what you want the video to
achieve, describes your target audience and how you plan to present it to
them, when you need the video by and what resources you have available in
terms of people’s time, access to places and events to film. It should also
include key staff who will be liaising with the Trojan Horse producer who in
turn will manage the production team on your behalf.
The brief will give you an opportunity to check with
those in your organisation who have the power to veto the project at a later
stage – this ensures that everyone is on board and understands what is
planned and involved.
Once we have received your brief, we can finalise the
budget, arrange a payment plan with you, determine schedules and sign an
agreement. Now the fun can begin !
